Applying for a Home
Home Argyll Common Housing Register
Dunbritton Housing Association is one of the partners of Home Argyll Common Housing Register.
Applications forms are completed online and one application enables you to be considered for re-housing with any of the following housing providers: Dunbritton Housing Association; Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA); Fyne Homes; and West Highland Housing Association. All of the landlords operate the same Allocations Policy.
For customers in West Dunbartonshire we will only consider your application for our properties in the West Dunbartonshire area. To complete an online application you should log into www.homeargyll.co.uk and click “apply online” on the top right-hand side of the page. Guidance on completing the online application can be found here Application Guidance. As part of the application process you will be required to show us a number of documents to verify your identification, residency and housing history. Other Housing Options - Shared Ownership
Dunbritton Housing Association has a number of Shared Ownership properties within Dumbarton and Alexandria. Shared Ownership offers customers the opportunity to buy a part share of the property (between 25% and 75%) and then pay an affordable rent to the Association. There are certain criteria that you have to meet to be considered for shared ownership property. An explanation of eligibility criteria and more about Shared Ownership can be found here Shared Ownership.pdf.
To apply for shared ownership please complete a Home Argyll housing application, and tick the box next to the question “Would you be interested in receiving information about shared ownership properties?” We will then notify you if suitable properties become available for sale.
What happens to my application after I have applied for Housing?
When you complete your online application it is then allocated to one of the Home Argyll partners for assessment. You will receive a letter asking you for information to enable your application to be processed. Once your application has been processed you will receive a letter detailing your points. Our target to respond to you is 28 days.
