WDCAB are able to issue emergency energy credit vouchers to clients who, through lack of funds, are struggling to meet energy costs and facing the immediate prospect of or have self-disconnected.

In order to make sure support is provided impartially and funds are distributed fairly, eligibility criteria has been defined for when an emergency energy credit voucher can be issued.

Energy vouchers are not intended as a long-term solution and should only be applied for where absolutely necessary - All clients referred for an emergency energy credit voucher must have received a benefit entitlement check first and be advised to contact their suppliers to seek assistance with managing their costs or for discretionary help.
